Stav routes your requests to the Inference Providers listed at stav.ai/compliance#sub-processors. When a request is served by an Inference Provider, that provider's terms, its usage policy and the licence of the model used apply in addition to Stav's Terms of Service (section 4.4). You accept them when you accept Stav's Terms, and you do not need an agreement with any Inference Provider yourself.

Stav's Acceptable Use Policy brings the main rules of these documents together. Where an Inference Provider's own usage policy is stricter, it applies to requests routed to that provider. The documents below are listed so you can check the source.

What applies to all Inference Providers

• You and your end users must follow Stav's Acceptable Use Policy and the usage policy of the Inference Provider that serves the request.
• You may not use output to train or develop models or services that compete with the provider or model developer that produced it.
• You may not resell the Service or give third parties direct access to it (Terms 7.2).
• Users must be 18 or over. Several providers do not allow use in services directed at children.
• You must comply with sanctions and export control rules. Some providers do not serve certain countries.
• When a provider changes its terms, the change applies to traffic routed to it from the date it takes effect at that provider (Terms 4.5).

Model licences

Each model page in the catalogue names its licence. Most models carry no obligations for you. These do:
