Arcee AI is a US-based, venture-backed lab that publishes permissively licensed open-weight models on a verified HuggingFace org and also sells an enterprise platform that deploys in the customer's own cloud. As a US company it is subject to the CLOUD Act and FISA 702. We found no AI Act statement, Code of Practice signatory status, SOC 2/ISO 27001 evidence or bug-bounty programme, so regulated EU buyers should request these directly. Self-hosting the open weights removes the endpoint-jurisdiction exposure but not the issuer's own US jurisdiction. The lab is scaling up and now has formal ties to US Department of Energy programmes.
