Model prices are the providers’ own catalogue prices, open for anyone to read on each model’s page. No subscription and no per-seat fee. When you buy credits, a platform fee of 5.5% is added. That is the whole price list. All prices on this page exclude VAT.
You pay €105.50, plus VAT where it applies. €100 goes into your wallet. After that, each request costs what the model’s page says.
A request with 2,000 tokens in and 500 out costs about €0.0006 on Mistral Small 4. €100 covers about 168,000 of them.
The same request costs about €0.008 on Claude Sonnet 5.5, so €100 covers about 12,000. Every model page shows its price.
* Catalogue prices on 15 October 2026, cheapest serving provider for each model, excluding VAT. Request counts are rounded.
You pay Stav with prepaid credits. Every provider’s usage is drawn from the same wallet, and you can see what you spent per model, router and API key. You don’t need an account with each AI company.
Most requests don’t need your most expensive model. Stav helps you send each one to a model that is good enough, and shows you what it cost.
With auto, the Smart Router sends simple work to cheaper models and saves the expensive ones for work that needs them.
Every model page lists each provider’s price per token. Filter the catalogue by price and pick the cheapest one that does the job.
Cap what your workspace, one API key or one router may spend, per day or per month. Stav enforces the cap at the gateway, on every request.
A soft cap emails you at 50%, 80% and 100% and lets requests through. A hard cap refuses the request that would cross it.
The caps apply on every API format. An agent that runs away stops at the same limit as a person would.
Use your own numbers. Compare a routed bill with sending everything to one frontier model.
Catalogue prices on 15 October 2026, excluding VAT: Claude Sonnet 5.5 at €1.78 in and €8.92 out per million tokens, Mistral Small 4 at €0.15 in and €0.59 out. The share you choose goes to the small model, the rest to the frontier model. Your real savings depend on your traffic.
For larger commitments we agree the payment terms and the platform fee with you. We invoice you and add the credits to your workspace. Same catalogue prices, same ledger, with a contract on top.
Pay by invoice instead of by card, on terms we agree with you.
A fee rate that fits your volume, set in the agreement instead of the standard 5.5%.
One contract and one invoice with Stav, for every provider you use.
No. No plans, no per-user charge, no monthly fee. You buy credits and use them. If you stop, we charge nothing.
You pay by card, through Stripe. You buy credits €10 to €20,000 at a time (or the same range in your currency). Your invoice has one line: Stav Credits. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.
5.5% of the credits you buy, with a minimum of €0.80, charged once at checkout. €100 of credits costs €105.50 plus VAT where it applies. €10 of credits costs €10.80, because of the minimum. Requests carry no fee. In other currencies the minimum is $0.80, £0.70, 10 NOK, 10 SEK or 6 DKK.
The catalogue price of the model that answered it: input and output tokens at the per-million price on its page. Model prices exclude VAT; VAT is added where it applies. Cached prompt reads are cheaper when the provider makes them cheaper.
Add your own key for any provider in the catalogue. Matching requests go through your account, at your price and limits, and the provider bills you for the tokens. The first 1,000 requests a month are free; after that we deduct 5.5% of the catalogue price from your credits. Your key is stored encrypted and is never shown again.
Stav Tunnel lets you serve models from your own machine. Requests served by your own node carry no usage charge. Each node costs €2 a month, deducted from your credits.
Requests to paid models fail with HTTP 402. We never serve on credit. Free models keep working, and auto-top-up can refill the wallet from your card at a level you choose.
Yes. Set a cap for the whole workspace, for one API key or for one router, per day or per month. A soft cap emails you at 50%, 80% and 100%. A hard cap refuses the request that would cross it. The caps apply at the gateway, on every API format.
Credits you buy last 12 months from the day you buy them. The oldest are used first. We email you 30 days and 7 days before any expire.
A grant is free credit we add to your workspace, for example when you add a card and turn on auto-top-up. Grants expire 30 days after they are added, and they are used before credits you bought. A grant does not count toward your workspace tier.
You choose one currency for your workspace: EUR, USD, GBP, NOK, SEK or DKK. Your credits, usage and invoices are in that currency. Prices from providers that charge in another currency are converted at the day’s rate.
At checkout, through Stripe Tax. Norwegian customers pay MVA. EU businesses with a VAT number are reverse-charged. EU consumers pay VAT at their own country’s rate.
